Untaught is an educational platform. We keep things simple here, including our approach to data. We collect as little as possible, we don't sell anything, and we tell you exactly what we're doing.

What We Collect

We collect two types of data. First, your email address, but only if you voluntarily submit it through our waitlist form. Second, analytics data about how people use the site, collected via Hotjar. This includes session recordings, heatmaps, and general interaction data. We also receive standard server logs from our hosting provider, which include IP addresses, browser types, and page request times.

How We Use It

If you give us your email, we use it to notify you when the Untaught app launches and to send occasional updates about new content. That's it. We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with advertisers. Analytics data is used to understand which content is helpful and where the site needs improvement. We don't use it to build profiles or sell anything.

Cookies

Hotjar sets cookies to track sessions and interactions. These cookies are analytics-only and are not used for advertising. If you'd prefer to opt out, you can do so via Hotjar's opt-out page. We do not use advertising, tracking, or remarketing cookies.

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site:

We don't have affiliate relationships, advertising partners, or data brokers. The services above are strictly operational.

Data Retention

Email addresses are held for as long as you remain on our waitlist or subscriber list. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, your address is removed promptly. Analytics data is retained by Hotjar per their own data retention policies. We don't archive or store analytics data ourselves.

Your Rights

You can request the deletion of your data at any time. Just send an email to jake@dirigocreative.com and we'll take care of it. No forms, no waiting periods. If you're in the EU or California, you also have rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
